Professional experience as a researcher
Since 2014. Principal Investigator of the WETIV-R Cohort. A multi-country prospective intervention cohort (Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Togo) aimed at aimed evaluating the integration of sexual and reproductive health services into HIV care.
Since 2013. Principal Investigator of the IeDEA West Africa “Women & Mothers” program. A multi-country research program aimed at describing and better addressing health outcomes of HIV-infected women in west-Africa, with a focus on sexual and reproductive health outcomes, such as pregnancy intention, incidence and complications after ART initiation and its association with maternal disease progression.
Since 2013. Associated investigator of the LJM cluster randomized trial. A study aimed at increasing retention in care of HIV-positive women in PMTCT services through continuous quality improvement-breakthrough series in primary and secondary health care facilities in Nigeria.
2010 – 2013. 2008 – 2011. Project leader of the ANRS 12200 UMA trial (Côte d’Ivoire, Zambia). Safety and efficacy of the Efavirenz-Tenofovir-Emtricitabine and Zidovudine-Lamivudine-Lopinavir/ritonavir combinations in pregnant and breastfeeding women to prevent mother-to-child transmission of HIV-1 in resource-limited settings. A multicentre randomized phase III clinical trial.
2007 – 2008. Principal investigator of the ARVAM-CI AntiRétroViraux et Allaitement Maternel en Côte d’Ivoire (Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire). Evaluation among breastfeeding women treated by HAART of the diffusion of antiretrovirals through breastmilk and assessment of the effect of antiretrovirals on breast-milk HIV-1 RNA and DNA loads.
