Ilana Caro, PhD student in the ELEANOR team, was awarded the Young Researcher Prize at the 10th European Stroke Organisation (SEO) Conference held in Basel from May 15-17, 2024.
The study Ilana Caro is working on focuses on small cerebral vessel disease (cSVD), a major cause of stroke and dementia whose molecular mechanisms are still largely unknown.

The European Stroke Organisation aims to bring together a scientific community around European-level projects to improve stroke management.
ESO is dedicated to :

  • Developing public policies to reduce the number of deaths by stroke and improve the care of stroke patients and the quality of life of stroke survivors.
  • Fostering professional and public education.
