Workshop “Causal inference in high dimensional setting”
RetourAs part of, and following on from the first international conference “social inequalities and Exposome”,
will be held on 19 September from 9.00 am to 12.30 pm,
on the Carreire campus of the University of Bordeaux,
the workshop entitled “Causal Inference in High-Dimensional Setting”
By combining theoretical contributions, practical illustrations and feedback, this workshop aims to stimulate interdisciplinary exchanges and foster collective reflection on these constantly evolving themes.
The morning after the international conference on ‘Social Inequalities and the Exposome’, this workshop will focus on:
-
-
- The types of problems encountered in the analysis of exposome data, which encompass a wide range of measured factors (biological, chemical, social, etc.), based on concrete examples.
-
-
-
- The presentation of a range of statistical methods for high-dimensional causal analysis, which are likely to be relevant for this type of analysis (counterfactual mediation analysis, mechanistic modelling, graph-based methods, etc.).
-
Speakers:
Cécilia Samieri (Bordeaux Population Health, Eleanor team,Inserm and Université de Bordeaux): “Unravelling impact of the exposome on health: top methodological challenges viewed by an epidemiologist”
Marc Chadeau (Center for Environment & Health, Imperial College London): “Exposome Analytics: Rationale, Challenges, and Real-World Applications”
Meriem Koual (Inserm UMR-S 1124, Université de Paris): “The effect of environmental pollutant exposure on breast cancer progression: an integrative approach”
Gregory Nuel (LPSM, CNRS, Sorbonne Université) “Inferring causality from a mixture of observations and interventions”
Benoît Lepage (CERPOP, Inserm-Université Toulouse III Paul Sabatier): “High dimensional exposure and positivity violation: benefits of stochastic counterfactual scenarios and extrapolation using marginal structural models”
Charles Hasad (Pierre Louis Institute of Epidemiology and Public Health, Inserm and Sorbonne Université): “Causal inference from abstractions of causal graphs”
Cécile Proust-Lima (Bordeaux Population Health, Biostat team, Inserm and Université de Bordeaux): “Continuous-time mediation analysis for repeatedly measured intermediate and final outcomes”
Quentin Clairon (Bordeaux Population Health, Sistm team, Inria/Inserm and Université de Bordeaux): “Neural network based inference of mechanistic models in a population setting”.
The workshop will conclude with a buffet lunch.
