THESIS DEFENCE : MARGAUX IZAC – 06/07/2026
RetourMargaux IZAC will defend her thesis in cognitive science and ergonomics – specialising in cognitive science – under the supervision of Prof. Bernard N’KAOUA and Dr Camille JEUNET, entitled:
“Cognitive training by neurofeedback-EEG for athletes’ performance: an interdisciplinary user-centered approach“.
Margaux IZAC is a PhD student in cognitive science. Her research has focused on optimising neurofeedback interventions designed to enhance sporting performance. Her aim was to identify the intervention parameters best suited to athletes’ individual characteristics in order to guide their selection and maximise performance gains. Her thesis was structured around three complementary areas. The first was to identify the neurofeedback parameters most frequently used in sports literature, as well as those associated with the greatest performance improvements. The second aimed to examine the influence of individual athlete profiles (personality traits, age, expertise and sporting background) on motor imagery practices, interest in neurofeedback and preferences regarding the design of interventions. Finally, the third strand sought to determine whether motor imagery induces distinct brain changes in novices and experts, in order to better guide the selection of targeted neurophysiological markers during neurofeedback interventions designed to enhance sporting performance.
The defence (in French) will take place on:
