“Investigating, Empowering, Educating: A Scholar’s Journey in HIV Research”
Dr. Lesley Park is Assistant Research Professor at the University of California Berkeley School of Public Health. She was previously Senior Research Scientist and Lecturer in the Department of Epidemiology & Population Health at the Stanford University School of Medicine. She holds an MPH and PhD in Chronic Disease Epidemiology from the Yale School of Public Health. As Executive Director of the Veterans Aging Cohort Study (VACS) consortium, Dr. Park leads an international collaboration of methodologists, clinicians, and trainees conducting impactful research using data from the US Veterans Health Administration. Her contributions to HIV and cancer research over the past 15 years have been recognized through her selection as Chair of the Scientific Secretariat for the International Workshop on HIV and Hepatitis Observational Databases (IWHOD). She is passionate about education, both in the classroom and through mentorship of trainees at all levels.
