David-Alexandre Trégouët, co-leader of the BPH-ELEANOR team, is joining the Institute of Cardiogenetics in Lübeck, Germany, as part of an exchange programme.

L’Institute of Cardiogenetics in Lübeck (Germany)  is headed by Professor Tanja Zeller and co-directed by Dr Zouhair Aherrahrou. It conducts research into the molecular and genetic mechanisms of cardiovascular diseases, including coronary heart disease, atrial fibrillation and vascular calcification.

David-Alexandre Trégouët has joined the team to work on the project “Targeting Omics-Derived Inflammatory Candidates for Novel Atherosclerosis Therapy”, funded by the DZHK (Deutsches Zentrum für Herz-Kreislauf-Forschung), the German Centre for Cardiovascular Research.

This opportunity builds on the collaborations he began over 15 years ago and could enable him to consolidate his research into the role of inflammation in thrombotic mechanisms, in both arteries and veins.

This mobility could open up new prospects and provide new opportunities for collaboration within the BPH’s environment
