Retour

On Tuesday 17 March, our director and professor of public health, Rodolphe Thiebaut,
will speak at a conference organised as part of the 2026 Bioethics States General,
on the future of AI in the field of health

In a context where artificial intelligence is becoming increasingly prevalent in our daily lives, it is also being used more and more in medicine.

These new practices raise new questions, which is why, on the initiative of the National Consultative Ethics Committee for Life Sciences and Health, the 2026 Bioethics States General is organising a conference, in the form of a discussion-debate, on the challenges and impact of AI on the patient-doctor relationship and its future.
This discussion will be moderated by ERENA, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Ethics Reflexion Space.

This conference brings together four speakers from various disciplines, including our director Rodolphe Thiebaut, but also director Emmanuel Bataille and paediatrician Isabelle Brintet from the URPS ML in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, deputy vice-president for “Science and Society , Cédric Brun, lecturer in philosophy of science at Bordeaux Montaigne University and the University of Bordeaux, and finally Louise Guillanton, project manager at France Assos Santé Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
