CRCN Inserm 2025 – Congratulations to Morgane Linard on her success
RetourAfter studying medicine, a doctorate in public health and a post-doc between Bordeaux and Strasbourg,
Morgane Linard passed the Inserm CRCN competition
and will join the LEHA team as a research fellow in October 2025
Following her PhD in Public Health, which she defended in 2021, on “the potential role of Herpes simplex virus type 1 in the onset of Alzheimer’s disease” under the supervision of Catherine Helmer, Morgane Linard spent 4 years as a post-doc in the LEHA team at the BPH and the IMIS (Imagerie multimodale intégrative en santé) team at the University of Strasbourg.
During this 4 year , she worked on developing a research programme on the role of infections, particularly viral infections, in the development of various age-related neurodegenerative diseases. The diseases concerned are, in particular, Alzheimer’s disease and Lewy body disease.
To carry out this ambitious project, she is mobilising epidemiological data from clinical and general population cohorts.
These include the new cohorte B-Cube (Biobank and Brain Health in Bordeaux), with which she is associated.
Morgane has also received funding from BIND (Bordeaux Initiative for Neurodegenerative Disorders) and A2MCL (Association des Aidants et Malades à Corps de Lewy).
Morgane Linard was recently successful in the Inserm CRCN competition, which gives access to one of the 67 posts of researcher of normal class open by Inserm throughout France.
The competition is highly selective, with only 7 of the 50 candidates in the ‘Public health, population health’ commission being selected, including Morgane.
This recognition will enable her to join the LEHA team at the BPH as a research fellow, to continue her work from the start of next academic year.
