This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic research and teaching environment:
• Inserm research centre Bordeaux Population Health (BPH), one of the largest public health research centers in France
• Precision & Global Vascular Brain Health Institute (VBHI): a newly established university hospital institute and recipient of the France 2030 award
•Isped, • Isped: the School of Public Health at the University of Bordeaux, accredited by the European Agency for Public Health Education Accreditation (APHEA)
Position start date: between December 1, 2025 and March 31, 2026
Contract: 4-year tenure-track position
Tenure: Upon successful evaluation at 4 years, the candidate will be appointed as permanent Professor
Your responsibilities
• Develop an innovative research program in epidemiology, in collaboration with teams of BPH and VBHI
• Contribute to the teaching activities in epidemiology and data science at Isped (64 teaching hours per year in both French and English)

Salary and starting grants
• Gross annual salary: €42,700 (after 4 years: salary according to the 1st-class university professor pay scale + bonuses)
• Starting grants: €200,000 for research staff (doctoral students, postdocs, engineers) and €25,000 for operating costs (computer, travel, etc.)
Profile
• PhD in epidemiology or biostatistics with a post-doctoral experience of at least 5 years
• Expertise in at least one of these areas: high-dimensional data analysis, molecular epidemiology, exposome, causal inference, global health
• Demonstrate interest and experience in teaching diverse student populations
• Strong ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary and international environments
