THESIS DEFENCE: ÉMILIE LESAINE – 15/06/2026
RetourÉmilie LESAINE will defend her PhD thesis in public health specialising in epidemiology under the supervision of Dr Florence SAILLOUR-GLENISSON, entitled:
“Heterogeneity and inequalities of care throughout the STEMI healthcare pathway“
Emilie LESAINE is a public health doctor and has been working at Bordeaux University Hospital since 2010 as the coordinating doctor for the cardio-neuro-vascular registries in Nouvelle-Aquitaine. Her work centres on coordinating clinical registries—REANIM (Aquitaine Myocardial Infarction Registry), ACIRA (Aquitaine Coronary Angiography and Angioplasty Registry) and ObA2 (New Aquitaine Stroke Observatory)—as well as leading the operational team. This also involves leveraging data through research projects and disseminating the results to healthcare professionals and decision-makers, with a view to improving practices and aiding decision-making.
Her doctoral research focused on characterising the care pathways of patients suffering from myocardial infarction in Aquitaine, from the onset of symptoms through to cardiac rehabilitation. It also aimed to analyse the social and regional determinants likely to influence the key stages of these pathways, as well as to assess the resilience of the healthcare system in the context of the health crisis linked to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The defense (in French) will take place on:
