The BPH at the “Fête de la science” 2025
RetourOnce again this year, members of the centre took part in the Fête de la Science, a national event that celebrates scientific research and dialogue between science and society

Every year, throughout France, the Fête de la Science (Science Festival) offers a special moment for both researchers and the general public. It is an opportunity to bring together actors from the world of research, across all disciplines, through activities and discussions that allow science to be discussed in a different way.
At BPH, we attach great importance to this dialogue between science and society. That is why we are proud to have taken part in this edition, offering two activities :
– Marta Avalos Fernandez (SISTM team), Ariel Guerra-Adames (doctoral student, SISTM & AHEAD team) et Nadia Elorga-Castagnet (trainee in AHEAD, M2 Digital Public Health) were at Cap Sciences from Saturday 11 to Sunday 12 October to lead an interactive session entitled ‘AI and preconceived ideas’.
Nearly 80 participants, including curious novices, engineers and computer scientists, discussed this hot topic over the course of a weekend.

– Mélissa Macalli, Doctor of Public Health and Epidemiology in the Healthy team, was at the IFPS in Villeneuve-sur-Lot to give a conference on her career and her research on student mental health to second-year nursing students.
Before becoming a researcher at the BPH, Mélissa worked as a nurse, and she was able to share her experience and engage in discussion with the 90 students in the audience.

Congratulations to our researchers for their commitment and participation.
See you throughout the year for other public events, and of course, next year for a new edition of the “Fête de la Science”.
