Nigel ROLLINS<\/strong> est un p\u00e9diatre dipl\u00f4m\u00e9 qui a dirig\u00e9 pendant 14 ans le Centre pour la sant\u00e9 maternelle et infantile de l&rsquo;<strong>universit\u00e9 du KwaZulu-Natal en Afrique du Sud<\/strong>, o\u00f9 ses travaux ont port\u00e9 principalement sur les maladies diarrh\u00e9iques, la malnutrition et le VIH. Il a ensuite rejoint en 2008 le d\u00e9partement Sant\u00e9 maternelle, n\u00e9onatale, infantile et adolescente de l&rsquo;OMS, o\u00f9 il a occup\u00e9 le poste de scientifique jusqu&rsquo;en 2024. Il est aujourd&rsquo;hui professeur en sant\u00e9 mondiale \u00e0 l&rsquo;universit\u00e9 Queen&rsquo;s de Belfast et a obtenu une bourse de recherche \u00e0 l&rsquo;<strong>universit\u00e9 de Bordeaux \u00e0 l&rsquo;ISPED et au GHiGS\/BPH<\/strong> pour l&rsquo;ann\u00e9e 2025-2026. Il a dirig\u00e9 plusieurs essais multicentriques portant sur les m\u00e9dicaments antir\u00e9troviraux et la transmission postnatale du VIH, et a mis en \u0153uvre des programmes visant \u00e0 pr\u00e9venir la transmission du VIH de la m\u00e8re \u00e0 l&rsquo;enfant par l&rsquo;alimentation infantile. Son travail consiste \u00e9galement \u00e0 faciliter la recherche sur la mise en \u0153uvre en \u00e9laborant des programmes d&rsquo;intervention et en mesurant leurs avantages pour les enfants, leurs m\u00e8res et leurs familles.
