Of Lebanese origin, I received my Masters degree at the American University of Beirut and my PhD at the University of Montreal, Canada in clinical nutrition.
Under the direction of Catherine Féart, postdoctoral fellowship for one year from October 2014 till September 2015.
On the professional level, the year I spent at the center was too rewarding: team meetings, seminars, national and international conferences and especially the level of autonomy I had which allowed me to strengthen and deepen my research skills. Upon my arrival, the team became my family! A very warm and friendly atmosphere, team lunches, dinners with colleagues! Basically, my postdoctoral fellowship was more than perfect! I miss everyone!

I have undertaken projects relating to blood pressure variability, and incident diseases including dementia, cognitive function, stroke, depression subtypes, and student health. My research experience at Bordeaux Population Health has been overwhelmingly positive. Despite speaking minimal French I have found colleagues to be friendly and easy to work with. I am very grateful to be afforded such an opportunity to work with leading experts, conduct analyses with established epidemiological datasets, and live in such a beautiful part of France!

I have thoroughly enjoyed living and working in Bordeaux. The members of my team have been very welcoming and have helped me to negotiate life in France. I am gaining valuable research experience in my time here and am grateful for the opportunities to work with high quality academics on large-scale projects. Living in France is a fun adventure filled with good wine, food and friends and I am really enjoying my time here.

Equipe de rattachement : HEALTHY for the i-Share Study

After having studied communication at the University of Florence, Italy, and having obtained my European Ph.D. (University of Verona, Italy, and INSERM, UMR_S 1136, Institut Pierre Louis d'Epidémiologie et de Santé Publique, Paris, France) in Psychological and Psychiatric Sciences with a thesis on "Communication, Internet and Translational Research for Mental Health", I joined the i-Share study team in February 2014. I have had the chance to stay for two years in the Center and to get specialized in Health Communication both as a researcher and as a teacher. This is my third year in the HEALTHY team and I am fully engaged in the redaction of scientific articles and in answering to calls on digital health research projects. My dream is to become one day a permanent researcher :)
